Welcome to the 2022 5th Grade Hall of Presidents Website Project Page! Students are going to be creating a website using weebly.com/ focusing on a president of their choice. Each site will cover the early life of their chosen president, their time in office with any significant events, as well as their life after leaving office. Below is an explanation to get started as well as a link to the example page shared in class on James Polk.
Deletion of pre-set pages on your website and creation of new ones:
The first item that you will need to take care of is to delete the pages of the website template you have picked (it is far simpler to delete the pages outright and create new ones rather than try to rearrange them).

Once you click on the Pages tab you should see on the left hand side of the editor the following:
You are going to want to get rid of each page that is not the Home page. To do so, click on the approbate page which will then show this on the left hand side:
Simply click delete and continue the process until you have one page remaining:
To add pages to your website, click on the plus sign next to Pages on the left hand menu (make sure you are still under the Pages tab at the top)
That action should present a drop down menu that looks like the following:
Be sure to only select Standard Page each time.

-Home Page with a picture of your president, your president's name, years in office, birth date to passing date
-A page dedicated to knowledge about the executive branch in general (ie. requirements, responsibilities, limitations, etc.)
-A page dedicated to the President's life prior to holding office. That should include from his birth to his campaign for office.
-A page dedicated to accomplishments during his presidency.
-A page dedicated to any particular issues faced by the president during his presidency.
-A page dedicated to the president's life after holding office.
-A page dedicated to any lasting impact that was left on the nation by said president.
-A page with all of the references used in creating the website.
Once you have chosen your president (and had the individual approved by myself) you may begin research using the following sites to guide you (you may use others if they have appropriate information to the task at hand):
